”Ecological Law Centre” in connection with tree-felling in Kostava Street (Vere garden) appealed to the Ministry of Environmental Protection. During the construction works healthy trees were cut down without any permission. The Centre demands that the guilty be punished and effective and drastic measures be taken by the Ministry.
 On June 12 Ecological Law Centre received a return letter from the inspection of Environmental Protection. According to the letter the employees of the Inspection had registered the quantity and specific constitution of the cut down trees. The amount of damage and its description, for the purpose of taking adequate measures had been sent over to the Inquiry Department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources.
